As part of Ashoka Youth Venture, I co-founded the non-profit, Digital Independence, in 2009 alongside Bandhan Zishanuzzaman and Arjun Agarwala. Our mission was to educate and empower Boston residents through free computer literacy courses, and to reduce electronic waste (e-waste) by offering discounted computer repair services.

We repaired, upgraded, and donated hundreds of desktops, laptops, and smartphones. In both 2010 and 2011, we received the “Best of the Best” award from the Mayor’s Summer Youth Employment Program (MYSEP) where we employed and managed nearly a dozen high school students in Cambridge, MA each summer.
